I walk amongst you...

I do not remember a time when I have not been, I exist and that is all that i know, it is indeed all that I wish to know, there are others like me, I for one avoid them, feral creatures that they are, I live alone and hunt alone, I have no wish nor need for company, nor for false admirers, foolish empty sycophants that they are.. with their pretend needs and fawning ways.. if or when the mood takes me.. pale, white body, rubenesque in stature, for i feed well, and often.. Oh, how i wish to be destroyed, and lie eternally in slumber.. in rest, peace, away from the noise, the colours, the smells and the pains of this world.. But, for one such as I, it cannot be.. no mere mortal has ever created or caused anything that can rid me of this curse.. and so I wait, eternal, resplendant in the beauty that my kind can only be.. Oh yes, there is beauty within this curse, for me, long raven hair, curly locks, eyes of green that can enchant..or destroy.. I would not, could not, bestow this gift of death on anyone.. I do not deem myself to be extraordinary, I fit amongst you quite well, able to travel by day and by night... ah yes, that myth that by night only we exist.. It is true that very strong daylight harms us, but for one as old as I, it will not destroy, just taints the skin and annoys, maybe burns a little.. sweet, sweet pain... oh the number of times I have snapped their puny necks for a wrong look, a stealing glance or a feeble touch.. I do not belong to anyone,there has been only one companion for me, my sweet beloved, one that was lost to me millenia ago.. Since then, I have wandered aimlessly without purpose throughout eons , watching, waiting, feeding, always feeding... I will not create spawn, for this curse of mine is powerful, a defect of life, not a creature of the night. and I am more generous in my eternal death than as you are in life... I am Vampyre.. I know not of mercy nor succour.. I am immortal and I grow tired... so very tired...
