I wish I could have comforted you whenever you felt sad and held that little hand of yours when everything seemed bad I am so sorry that the only world you knew was filled with hate not love
i'm not an angel my little one but I am surely weeping here and when I kiss my kids tonight and give them a goodnight hug I will give them an extra one for you hoping that you can feel a mothers' love
and hope that things have changed for you now you are with the Lord above they say for every child that dies an angel sheds a tear

I wrote it when they found the bones of an abused child in a childrens home in Jersey....it upset me so much to think that those kids had no love growing up.... thank you
